Osvaldo E. Fumo is a Senior Partner and co-founder of Pitaro & Fumo, Chtd. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Licensed since 1996, he has practiced criminal defense for nearly 30 years, handling matters ranging from traffic citations and DUI defense to capital murder cases in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Beyond private practice, Fumo served two terms in the Nevada State Assembly representing District 21 (2016-2020). During his tenure, he served on multiple committees including Judiciary; Corrections, Parole, and Probation; Education; Transportation; Legislative Operations and Elections (Vice Chair); and Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Mining. He ran for the Nevada Supreme Court (Seat D) in 2020 and for Clark County District Attorney in the 2022 Democratic primary, receiving approximately 43.7% of the vote.
Fumo is an Adjunct Professor at UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law, where he teaches Trial Advocacy, Pretrial Criminal Litigation, and Opening Statements and Closing Arguments. He was named Adjunct Professor of the Year in 2021. He has also served as a course instructor for the American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, delivering advanced-level training on DUI defense.
